D. Melissa Moore
D. Melissa Moore was born in Miami, Florida. Ms.Moore graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science magna cum laude in Psychology and a minor in Political Science. She received a Juris Doctorate with honors from the University of Florida College of Law. After graduation she joined the Seventh Judicial Circuit Office of the State Attorney in Palatka, Florida. She spent ten months in the misdemeanor division before being promoted to felony. As a felony attorney she was placed in charge of both Domestic Violence and Forfeitures. She was the President of the Putnam County Bar for the 2000-2001 term and a volunteer at Central Florida Legal Services. Additional, Melissa is an adjunct professor at St. Johns Community College, instructing Law Enforcement Academy Recruits, Correctional Officer Recruits, and Crossover Training Officers.
